Tofu can be bought easily in the markets and shopping malls. Buy them and keep in the fridge to cook for lunch or dinner. Taufu will stay fresh longer when soak in water in a container and keep in the fridge. Buy the white or fried tofu. The fried one can be eaten instantly with chili sauce. The white one can be cooked with spicy sauce or with minced meat.
Ingredients:
4 pieces white tofu, cut into 1 cm cubes.
200gm minced meat or chicken breast fillet
2 tablespoon oil
3 teaspoon red bean chili paste
3 teaspoon preferred bean curd
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoon light soya sauce
1.5 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
Method:
Heat a wok until hot. Add oil and put in minced garlic. Try to get the aroma. Add in the minced meat and stir-fry-for 5 minutes or until brown. Add the chilli paste and bean curd and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
Add the remaining sauce and stir for further 3 – 5 minutes or until the tofu is heated through. Serve hot with rice.
