Spicy Cabbage with Fried Sesame

Cabbage is high in beta-carotene, Vitamin C and K, and fiber. Do not over cook cabbage when it is used in stir-fries. cabbage can be prepared in many ways. It can be used in salads, stir-fries, stews, curries and as a preserved vegetable.. Do try this preserved dish.

Ingredients:

1 whole cabbage, soaked and cut cabbage into strips
300 gm sugar
1 rice bowl vinegar
2 bulks garlics. minced
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
5 red chillies
2 tablespoon plum powder
2 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoon sesame, fried

Method:

Rub enough salt to cabbage strips and set aside for half an hour. Then soak preserved cabbage strips in water for 1 hour. Squeeze dry and set aside. In a sauce pan add 1/2 cup water to sugar and bring to boil. Add in vinegar and cabbage. Stir in the rest of the ingredients except the fried sesame and mix well. Preserve
overnght. Sprinkle fried sesame over dish when serve.
