Caramel Cake
posted in Cakes and Pastries |This cake is simple to make. You need a baking time of 20 minutes. The cake will be spongy and soft. Busy mothers can have a try. This baking method needs caramel. You have to be careful of your hands when you add water to caramel because of the steam will hurt your hands.
Ingredients:
1 cup wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
4 eggs
3/4 tin condensed milk
1 tablespoon butter
Method:
Sieve flour and baking soda together. Put aside. To make caramel, use a small pot, pour sugar to boil. Keep stirring until dark brown. Quickly add water and stir till caramel dissolves. Set aside to cool.
Put the milk in the mixing bowl and add the butter. Blend till you get a smooth mixture. Add in eggs, blending each in smoothly,one at a time. Mix in the flour and add in the vanilla essence. Blend in the caramel and mix evenly. Grease a baking tin and pour in the mixture. Bake at temperture 180 degrees. C for 15 to 20 minutes.
