Red Snapper with Sauce

Buy 2 slices red snapper fish in the wet market and just rinse and add a little salt and pepper. Lightly fry the fish slices till cook and dish out on a serving plate. Then simmer some sauce and pour over the fish slices. Quick and fast for the busy mother. Try this sauce to add over the fish.

Ingredient:

2 slices red snapper
4 tablespoon oil for frying
salt and pepper to taste
1 big onion , sliced
2 red chillies, sliced
1 teaspoon belacan powder
2 tablespoon assam jawa (tamarind paste mix with little water to obtain the juice)
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon sugar

Method:

In a frying pan, heat the oil till hot and fry the fish on both the sides. Transfer fish on to a serving dish. Pour out the oil and leave 1 teaspoon oil on frying pan. Add in the onion and fry till soft. Mix in the belacan powder, soya sauce, tamarind juice and sugar. Simmer for awhile and add chillie slices. Pour the sauce over fish and serve.
