Here is another prawn dish, fried and coated with oats. I attended my sister’s house warming buffet dinner a week ago, I enjoyed eating this prawn dish. So I tried to do myself the next day. I used medium prawns. To clean them, just devein prawns cut off antennae and tails and keep the shell in tact. Try now and see if you can do it.

Ingedients:
300 gm meduim sized prawns
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon Maggi seasoning
enough oil for frying prawns
3 tablespoon butter
2 sprigs curry leaves
1 chilly, cut into strips (optional)
1 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoon brown sugar
dash of msg
Method:
Marinate prawns with Maggi seasoning, salt and pepper to taste for 15 minutes. Sprinlke some corn flour over the prawns and mix evenly. Add enough oil to wok. When hot fry prawns until cooked and slightly crisp. Dish out, put on the plate.
Pour out the oil from the wok and leave 1 tablespoon oil, then add 3 tablespoon butter to the wok. On meduim heat keep stirring until butter melts, throw in the curry leaves and chillies if you like to have chillies. Fry until fragrant. Pour in the quick cooking oats, mixed with evaporated milk and brown sugar and a dash of MSG. Keep stirring for until dry. Add the prawns and continue to stir until the oat mixture coats the prawns as well as crispy. Dish out on a serving plate lined with cucumber slices.
